Helder - Pukkelpop 2011

“Helder” was created on Friday, August 19th 2011, one day after the tragic events at Pukkelpop Festival Hasselt Belgium. I live about 8 miles from the festival, witnessed the storm and was shocked by what had happened at the festival. This is my way to pay tribute to the young people whot lost their lives or were injured that fatal day. “Helder” means “bright” in Dutch, in contrast to that moment on August 18th 6:15 pm, when the sky went dark as on a winter’s night.
